The issues raised to Vietnamese culture in the globalization and international integration tendencies

Abstract

Globalization opens up great opportunities for global cultural exchange, creating motives for national innnovation and modernization. Also, there appears cultural empires, which are able to trample on other nations' culture. Our country's culture has been more prosperous, the patriotic mainstream has been well promoting; taking Marxism - Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thoughts as ideological foundation. However, the dark side of the picture of Vietnamese culture is concerned. Reality poses many problems to be solved: defining cultural development strategy scientifically; continuing profound study on traditional values of national and world culture and the relationships; developing, building human in order to improve the whole nation's qualities for a prosperous, democratic, fair and civilized country.
