Building criteria for lecturers of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration to meet new requirements

Abstract

The concept "learner is the center of education system" has led ​to fundamental changes of the lecturer’s role, from merely a knowledge transmission to a guidance, supporter and advisor. Each lecturer has to constantly improve and enhance professionals, update new knowledge and technology; to make a bright role model of the dedication to the training career. Therefore, beside general qualities for a lecturer, the Academy's lecturers have to meet their own criteria: master's degree or higher; pedagogic ability, good teaching methods and proficient use of modern technical facilities; being a party member, firm political ability; practical experience.
