Abstract
Basing on the framework of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) suggested by Fairclough (1989), the syntactic structures of Vietnamese socio-political slogans are analysed following the principles of Halliday’s Systemic Functional Grammar (SFG) to unveil the ideologies, thoughts and other social practices reflected in the linguistic uses within Vietnamese social-political slogans.
