CURREN CONDITION OF TEACHING VIETNAMESE FOR KHMER STUDENTS IN TINH BIEN DISTRICT, AN GIANG PROVINCE

Abstract

This paper provide s  information on the status of Vietnamese education for Khmer students in Tinh Bien di strict. The paper shows that Khmer students study Vietnamese not well. The reduce of  number s   of Khmer students in higher education is due to many different cause s . “Language barriers” is a major cause of this status. It is n ecessary to apply a model to tea ching Vietnamese based on the mother tongue for Khmer students because this is good for the acceptance    of  Vietnamese as a second language.
