The transformation of everyday vocabulary into termilogy: One of the ways to establish the Vietnamese terminology system

Abstract

The change of function and meaning of commonly used words into terminology is one of the ways to establish the Vietnamese terminology system. This occurs in three types of Vietnamese word class (noun, verb and adjective) in which the noun occupies the highest rate. Through this process, new terms are effectively and econo mically created. This then allows for the enrichment and expansion of Vietnamese vocabulary.
