The impact of gender factor in the use of interjections in chinese language (in comparision with Vietnamese language)

Abstract

This paper focuses on presenting the survey results, which initially verifies a number of impacts that gender factor is demonstrated in the process of using modern Chinese interjections in comparision with Vietnamese, namely: 1. The higher frequency of men’s using interjections than women’s; 2. The higher frequency of women’s using emotional interjections than men’s. 3. The higher frequency of men’s using expressive interjections than women’s. 4. The significantly higher frequency of men’s using interjections to express anger in comparison with that of women. 5. The higher frequency of women’s using interjections to denote sadness or scare compared with men’s.
