THE CHARACTERS OF THAI PEOPLE THROUGH PROVERBS AND IDIOMS

Abstract

Although Thailand does not border with Vietnam, there are still many similar natural and social features as both countries are members of ASEAN in Southest Asia. Studying Thai’s culture or Thai’s proverbs and idioms will help students understand more thoroughly about Thai people and its country. Through Thai’s proverbs and idioms, we will know more about their friendliness, kindness, good behavior and flexibility but sometimes untruthfulness. This will help us behave in a suitable way when we communicate or work with Thai people.
