Abstract

All Vietnamese are conducting a campaign follo ing Uncle Ho’s humble lifestyle. This is such a meaningful action that everyone can do. Ea ch of us, depending on our social condition and living, can participate in this trend in our own ways. As a teacher in Chinese department, I learned more about his precious lifestyle through his Han poems (poems written in Chinese characters). Unlike Vietnamese poems, Ho Chi Minh’s Han poems  ere  ritten for himself and his fello s,  ho also ackno ledged this kind of poetry. Writing for himself, maybe he didn’t demand any flo ery or luxurious words. However, when writing for his fellows, Ho Chi Minh would p ut his Eastern cultural knowledge into practice.

In this essay, I would like to present a n  analysis of the t o poems  ritten by Uncle Ho: “Vo de” and “Doi nguyet”,  hich  ere created in ATK (a shelter for soldiers) during the  anti  -   French   resistance .
