Data-gathering methods in pragmatics studies
Abstract
This article is to introduce common data-gathering methods in cross-cultural pragmatics studies. Five ficquently-used methods are presented with their strengths and weaknesses, added with the writer's comments and suggestions for the most appropriate use of the methods for empuical studies of the field.
