A case study of teaching speaking through voa special english in light of behaviourism theory

Abstract

    The paper examines how VOA Special English program helps tiist - year English majors at Quy Nhon University unprove their speaking skills and mvestigates their attitude towards the use of this program in ^leaking classes. The sbidy draws on tile tiieories of behaviorism and lextbased language teachmg with the deployment of qualitative and quantitative methods for the data analysis. The findings show that the paiticipants benefited fiom VOA SE; however, some considerations should tie taken into account if this program is added to the speaking syllabus.
