Abstract

    The study is about clipping in the language of Rock music like Aphaeresis ('bout, 'round, 'cross); Syncope {diff'rent/difrent, every, wond'ring) and Apocope (pnl'/on'/ol'; carr'; wan');.... It not only helps leamers of English reach a deeper understanding on the cases of clippings but also brings them a lovely picture of linguistics.
