Features of idiom forms on Chinese and Vietnamese pres

Abstract

    As two neighbouring countries, Vietnam and China have many similarities and diiferences in language and cultuie due to the long-term contact. Therefore, a study of these features is necessary for the comparison and contrast of the languages. It is even more important for the teaching of Vietnamese to the Chinese and vice versa. The purpose of this article is to investigate the similarities and differences of using idioms in Chinese and Vietnamese press, as well as their impact on the acquisition and use of Chinese by the Vietnamese students.
