Errors in Vietnamese 'V+NP' combination made by Chinese students from the contrastive error analysis

Abstract

    The Vietnamese and Chinese "verb + noun/noun phrase' combinations, though sharing several similarities, have many subtle differences, which are the causes of errors made by Chinese students when using these combinations in Vietnamese. Through analyzing this type of errors, this article suggests some implications in relating Chinese-Vietnamese contrastive analysis studies with teaching Vietnamese and Chinese as foreign languages.
