Abstract
The article focuses on researching and analyzing the significant phonetic characteristics of Chinese interjections in contrast to Vietnamese ones. Through the analysis of practical examples using the Praat software, the article has proved that the tones of Chinese and Vietnamese interjections are peculiar, which are very different from the tones of other kinds of words in the same language system. When used in the utterance, under the influence of intonation, the tone of interjections in the Chinese and Vietnamese language can create different variations. Accordingly, the article also proposes a number of applications relating to the phonetic characteristics in the teaching of Chinese interjection.
