A study of some essential qualities, competences for secondary teachers of english at the present stage from applied linguistics perspective

Abstract

     The article has made an attempt to focus on the 2 crucial issues: (1) Some essential qualities, competences for secondary teachers of English, and (2) How to help them get these qualities, competences. After some major findings closely related to the topic have been found, the author has arrived at a few academic conclusions, then presented some further suggestions and several discussion points which need some more follow-up studies or exchanges in the hope that the subject-matter will become clearer.
