How to apply the second language theories to syllabus design and classroom teaching methodology in second language classroom

Abstract

    Some language theories provide significant importance to learner's innate characteristics, emphasize the fimdamental role of environment in shaping language leaming. Others account for integrating learner characteristics and environmental factors in explanation for how second language acquired. Behaviorism, innatism and interactionism are some of these theories describmg how second languages are mastered and taught. This study is gomg to analyze these theories and give some experiences in applying them to syllabus and classroom teaching methodology in second language classrooms.
