Thinking about Religion & Stability: Social Disharmony or Social Stability?
Chris Seiple
Abstract
The paper focuses on the interrelationship of religion and society. It raises the policy question for the state: How does government provide security and order for its citizens when some of its citizens hold an allegiance to something other than the state? The author then analyzes two approaches to this policy dilemma: repressing religion, or facilitat faith. What he wants to emphasizes here is we should recognize religion as part of the problem and therefore as part of the solution.
