Phenolic compounds from the bark of Garcinia merguensis.
Abstract
Five xanthone derivatives, formoxanthone A, xanthone-V1 , trapezifolixanthone, globuxanthone and 1,7-dihydroxyxanthone, were isolated from the bark of Garcinia mergnensis collected ill Ho Chi Minh City. The structures of the compounds were elucidated using spectroscopic techniques (1-D and 2-D NMR, HREI-MS, UV and IR) and chemical methods.
