Abstract

In order to convert diesel engines to use diesel-ethanol fuel, designers must refine the fuel system, equip the ethanol supply unit in parallel with the diesel supply and design the control model. This model is used to control the combination of diesel fuel and ethanol supplied to the engine at the required replacement ethanol rates. There have been many studies on the use of dual fuel fuel diesel engines, but these studies focus on CNG as a control model [5, 6] or as a secondary controller. It also incorporates both diesel fuel injection and CNG fuel injection for electronically controlled diesel engines [1, 4]. So far, no research has been published on diesel-ethanol dual fuel engine control using traditional high-pressure fuel pump with variable-speed governor. Therefore, the research team developed a model of dual-fuel diesel-ethanol controllers. The results show that the controller ensures control of the required motor torque, mass of diesel injection, mass of ethanol injection, limited l coefficient, control lever position of high pressure fuel pump and ethanol injection time is accordance with the working mode of the engine as required, ensuring the engine to work stably in the working mode.
