Abstract

Grad education has a vital role in training highly qualified workers. In order
to meet employers’need and improve the employability of graduates,
educational institutions (university) need to collaborate with businesses. This
collaboration will help parties understand each other's needs, and drive the
development of stakeholders. The purpose of this study is to examine how
collaboration in training, advisory services, and scientific research will affect the
employability of graduates. Through the survey of 275 students, managers,
leaders of universities and firms in Hanoi, the author employed exploratory
factor analysis (EFA) and multiple regression to test the hypotheses. The results
indicated that collaboration between universities and firms plays an important
role in facilitating graduates to find a suitable job. The findings also revealed
three types of collaboration which have positive influences on the enhancement
of graduates’ employability: (i). Collaborative training; (ii). Collaborative
consulting, (iii). Collaborative research.
