Abstract

Perovskites are promising next-generation absorbing materials for solar
cells that are low cost and highly efficient. Although perovskite cells are
configured similarly to classical solar cells, their operation also has specific
characteristics and requires the development of a new physical model to study
properties, thus optimizing the cells and improving the performance of the
panels. This paper presents a physical-based analysis model to describe the
performance of different types of perovskite solar cells, taking into account
heterogeneous properties, with filtered transport layers, charge selection, and
voltage-dependent collector. This model will allow experimentalists to describe
key parameters of existing cells, understand the performance bottleneck
properties and predict the performance of perovskite solar panels and suggest
further study for perovskite solar cell technology development.
