The art of word repetition in the poems describing nature during Tran dynasty
Abstract
During Tran dynasty, the poets considered the repetition of words an extremely important art, especially in the four-line poems. The poets took fully advantage of this art in their poems describing the landscapes and feelings in order to deeply highlight the factors influencing the landscapes and the feelings. With the poems describing nature during Tran dynasty, the poets mainly exploited the following aspects of the repetition of words: completely reduplicative words, repeated compound words, synonyms, words with partly the same meaning. This distinctive art contributed to the real beauty of the immortal poems of nature during Tran dynasty.
