Victims of domestic violence are those who have to bear vulnerable consequences caused by domestic violence that largely affect human rights of the victims. Since the Law on prevention and combat of domestic violence came into force, Vietnam has made many efforts to enforce the law on protecting rights of victims of domestic violence. However, protecting rights of victims of domestic violence still encounters a number of difficulties and obtacles. The paper introduces the law of Vietnam on rights of victims of domestic violence, analyses the practice of protecting these rights and offers solutions to raise the effectiveness of protecing and supporting victims of domestic violence.
