Abstract

Educating students on traditional cultural values is a crucial requirement for shaping the political acumen, personality, lifestyle, and social responsibility of high-quality human resources in the context of international integration and digital transformation. However, globalization, the market economy, and the rapid development of digital media are creating multifaceted impacts on students' perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors towards traditional national cultural values. Based on an analysis of the Party's views on building and promoting cultural values, combined with a synthesis of documents and an analysis of educational practices in Vietnamese universities, this article clarifies the role and new requirements of educating students on traditional cultural values in the current period. Therefore, this article proposes several key solutions to improve the effectiveness of traditional cultural values education, including innovating educational content and methods, promoting the role of lecturers and student organizations, strengthening experiential education, applying digital technology, and promoting coordination between schools, families, and society. The research results contribute to supplementing the reference basis for developing cultural values education programs in higher education institutions, meeting the requirements for the comprehensive development of Vietnamese people in the era of integration.
