Work motivation of nurses and associated factors at Quang Ninh province general Hospital in 2025
Abstract
Objective: To describe the current status of work motivation and identify some factors related to work motivation of nurses at Quang Ninh Provincial General Hospital in 2025. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 405 nurses working at the hospital. Data were collected using a questionnaire that was tested for reliability, analyzed using descriptive statistics and correlation analysis (OR, CI 95%, p < 0.05). Results: The proportion of nurses with high work motivation was 63%. Factors that are statistically significantly related to work motivation include: professional qualifications, health status, satisfaction with income, salary increase - allowance regime and fairness in the assessment of direct managers. Conclusion: Nurses’ work motivation remains suboptimal. Income satisfaction, health status, and management style have significant influence and should be considered in personnel policy reforms.
