DETERMINING THE SUITABILITY OF MINERAL FERTILIZER LEVEL BASED ON THE YIELD TARGET OF POTATO (SOLANUM TUBEROSUM L.) IN THANH HOA PROVINCE
Abstract
A field trial model (2.0 hectars) applying water and nutrient management technology
of Israel in potatoes production was implemented on alluvial soil of Ma river, Winter-Spring
crop 2018-2019 in Thanh Hoa province with 4 treatments of applying N, P2O5, K2O, Cao,
MgO according to the target yield of 100%; 125%; 150% and 175%, compared to the
average yield under farmers' production conditions. The amount of fertilizer and fertigation
schedule was determined by the “Haifa Nutri-net” nutrition management software. The
results showed that, the efficiency of potato production was highest at 175%: the total cost
of production was 108.4 million VND/ha; the yield was 38.9 tons/ha; the total income was
238.8 million VND/ha; the net income was 165.5 million VND/ha; the net profit was 130.4 million VND/ha; the value cost ratio was 4,8. The economic optimum dose of fertilizers for
potatoes based on applying water and nutrient management technology of Israel was 880
kg/ha (207N; 177 P2O5; 140 K2O; 24 CaO; 32 MgO), corresponding to the target yield 48
tons/ha.
