Study on the application of PLS- SEM with a sample of 427 local communities along the coast of Binh Thuan. The results show that the three components of perceptions of positive tourism impact (environmental, economic, and socio-cultural) affect attitudes, thereby increasing the intention of communities to participate in marine tourism. In particular, the perception of positive environmental tourism impacts has the most significant effect on attitudes. Specifically, attitude is a mediating variable in the relationship between perceptions and intention. In addition, the study discusses and proposes governance implications for local authorities, state management in tourism, and businesses to enhance local communities’ perceptions of the positive impact of tourism, thereby increasing the community's intention to participate in marine tourism in Binh Thuan.
