Impact of SWOT analysis to balanced scorecard with the intermediary role in implementing quality function deployment at construction companies in Ho Chi Minh City
Abstract
This study explores impact of SWOT analysis to balanced scorecard with the intermediary role in implementing quality function deployment at construction companies in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). The questionnaire in this study includes 45 questions with random sampling technique and surveyed data was collected from 399 managers at different companies construction in HCMC. The result of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) showed that the SWOT analysis has a strong positive impact on the Quality Function Deployment (QFD), followed by the QFD has the second strong positive impact on the BSC and finally the SWOT analysis has the lowest positive impact on the QFD. Based on the findings, some implications are drawn to help that the managers of companies construction improve SWOT analysis and the intermediary role in implementing QFD to achieve comprehensive business performance both financial and non-financial according to Balanced Scorecard (BSC).
