Abstract

    Cost per ton is the most economic index in all industies. In earthmoving, cost per ton is expenses for moving a volume unit (tonnes, cum) of dirt, minerals, or any materials from point A to point B, maybe including spreading, compacting and finishing.

     Earthmoving takes a remarkable volume in construction and mining. That's why researching the factors affecting to cost per ton and methods to improve these factors for reducing expenses is very worthy in terms of economic and technical reality. All efforts in the earthmoving, from machine selection, implementation setup, operator training to improvement of maintenance and repair procedures,..., are to minimize cost per ton. Cost per ton is a general indicator showing the effective of an enterprise's operations. This reasearch is conducted to answer the above issue. The research results indicate the jobs to be done for the above purposes. These will help earthmoving enterprises improve their operation results if applicable.
