Abstract

    In hydraulic and hydro-power headworks, flood release structures should be constructed to discharge into downstream area. The important function of the flood release structures is to resolve extremely hydraulic transition behind the flood release structures. One of the hydraulic transition works is bed dissipation structure. Normally, in the bed dissipation structures, big rough blocks are used in stilling basin. With the big rough blocks, those dimensions are determined by model experiments. The paper states the stilling basin structure with the big rough blocks in some hydraulic, hydro-power works.
