Abstract

This paper presented a study on impact of injector position and injected pressure on kinetic energy intake flow of the single-cylinder diesel engine that converted to research engine with using CNG fuel. The method has realized in this study that is the combination between experimental and simulative researchs. The obtained results of experiment were used as the input data to correcting the simulation model on AVL Boost software. To make more clearly the effect of injector position on the kinetic energy of gas flow into the intake pipe, the achieved data of AVL Boost simulation used to simulate and research on Ansys fluent software. The experimental results were indicated that the cause of increasing COVimep when enhancing injected pressure was due to the turbulence kinetic energy of CNG fuel into the intake pipe was abnomaly changed. The variation of injector position and injector angle will be decreased the unwontedness of turbulence kinetic energy.
