The factors affect to investment cost during construction period of irrigation works

Abstract

In the process of implementing irrigation projects, there are many projects facing the problem of investment cost overruns during construction period. Which have many causes of influence including both objective and subjective causes. This study identifies groups of factors that affect investment costs
during construction period of irrigation works, using Crobach Alpha and EFA analysis to find key factors groups. The result shows that there are 7 groups of factors that affect costs in the process of irrigation constructing works. Contractor capacity factor group, policy factor group and economic factor group, they are the most significant of investment cost during construction period of irrigation works in Vietnam.
