Researching the impact of climate change on livelihood and the adaptation of inhabitants in Thua Thien Hue

Abstract

    The purpose of article is shown information of community's adaptation and impacts to climate change in Thua Thien Hue Province. The Tamgiang- Cauhai lagoon fishermen public in Thua Thien Hue Province is chosen for surveying and studying process. The results of researching are analyzed and treated by statistical software SPSS 13.0 for windows. After estimated of average value ( ), standard deviation (Sx), frequency (f), percentage (p,%), the researching has used statistical analysis techniques such as Chi-square (χ 2), t-test, binomial test and one-way ANOVA. The exist of statistically significant difference of financial risk level due to climate change at "age_factor" by fishermen public assessment (F=4.586; df=2; p<0.05). In addition, the fishermen public at Tamgiang- Cauhai lagoon has mitigated and adapted solutions to respond of longtime impacts related to extreme weather.
