Abstract

The Hinh river basin in Phu Yen province plays a crucial role in socio-economic development but faces significant environmental pressures. The paper applies the DPSIR (Driving Forces - Pressures - State - Impact - Response) model to analyze factors affecting landscape and water resources. The research utilizes data from official reports and scientific studies, combined with system analysis. Findings indicate that key drivers, including population growth, agricultural expansion, industrial activities, and hydropower development, exert substantial pressure on water resources, forests, and the environment. Consequently, water quality degradation, deforestation, increased erosion, and ecological shifts have been observed. Based on the analysis, the study proposes sustainable management solutions such as strengthening watershed forest protection, controlling water pollution, developing irrigation infrastructure, and enhancing community awareness to balance economic growth with environmental conservation.
