Abstract

General territorial investigation of coastal areas and coastal island systems is a major research direction in both territorial space and research content with very specific purposes. Therefore, the research and comprehensive assessment of natural conditions and territorial natural resources in coastal areas and coastal island systems is not only for the purpose of conducting basic investigation and construction, synchronous, detailed archive of resources, natural, socio-economic, humanistic and environmental conditions for a large territory of the country. However, at the current stage, the understanding and grasp of the nature of the above factors is still quite thin and lacking. This study proposes to develop a criteria system for comprehensive assessment of resources in coastal areas and coastal island systems. The criteria are built on the basis of the characteristics of the ability to meet natural potentials, resources for population distribution and production orientation in the region. These criteria can then be used in evaluating areas with similar conditions.
