Analysis of freight and costs of freight transport modes in Viet Nam

Abstract

     The study was conducted with the main objectives as follows: Analyzing the fluctuation of the price of freight transport by road and its causes; Compare the unit freight transport price among three main modes (road, inland waterway and railway), and compare this to the one of some countries in the world. Based on these findings, some recommendations to improve the efficient operation of the freight transport system in Vietnam will be given.
