Earth pressure co-efficient upon port projects in the condition of earthquake

Abstract

    The method of calculation on soil lateral pressure exerted on port structures in accordance with flat sliding methodology has been widely applied in port design works. However, the general formula determines soil pressure on titled walls, soil slopes under earth quake conditions with consideration of contact frictions... has not been mentioned. This article introduces the formulas on determination of soil pressure in general case and calculation software determining the active and passive pressure ratio. Additionally, the report introduces the calculation results through the tables on highly applicable active and passive pressure ratio.
