STUDY OF INDOOR ENVIRONEMT FOR TYPICAL OFFICE USING AIR CONDITIONER BY ANSYS FLUENT

Abstract
One typical office using air conditioner which is controlled by ON/OFF mode is simulated by Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD). In which, temperature and velocity fields are studied for different setting indoor temperatures and ambient temperatures. Besides, the distribution of CO2 concentration versus time also is evaluated. The results show that the decrease in setting indoor temperature and the increase in the ambient temperature gives the significant longer ON period and higher energy consumption. The average CO2 concentration is good and acceptable for the first 5 hours. The velocity and temperature are evenly distributed in the room and meet the indoor comfortable condition of human.
