Measuring factors affecting enterprise-university cooperation

Abstract

In the context of global competition, cooperation between enterprise and university has been a popular tendency
over the world. University-enterprise cooperation is understood as interaction and transaction between higher
education institutions and enterprises in order to bring benefits to the parties. The cooperation with university
helps enterprise improve the level of science and technology, improve production processes and product quality,
improve productivity and quality of human resources. When working with a business, university has been able to
increase opportunities for training and research. Therefore, the cooperation between enterprises and universities
is increasingly important. This paper measures factors affecting cooperation between enterprises and universities,
based on a data set obtained from 130 enterprises in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Quang Ngai province. The results
show that the degree of cooperation is positively correlated with the factor relationship, strategy, the direction of
cooperation, organization of cooperation, and characteristics of the partner; In particular, the tight relationship
between enterprise and university has the strongest impact on the efficiency of the cooperation.
