Financial support in lending activitiy at the Vietnam Environment Protection Fund
Abstract
Economic development along with environmental protection is one of the orientations of the Government of
Vietnam recently. The state has been applying policy tools, legal instruments and financial instruments to protect
the environment. Accordingly, Vietnam Environment Protection Fund is a state-owned financial institution,
established and operating as a state financial instrument for implementation and financial support for businesses
and individuals in the operation environmental protection activities, in parallel with other environmental protection
policies and laws. After a long time of formation and development, Vietnam Environment Protection Fund has
achieved certain results but there are still some shortcomings that need to be improved. The article uses case
studies at the Vietnam Environment Protection Fund and through which provides recommendations for activities
for the Fund’s financial support.
