Abstract

Corporate governance in Vietnam banking system is not a new issue especially since Vietnam officially becomes a
member of WTO. In the process of restructuring banking system, corporate governance in banks again becomes a topic
of concern for wide range of the authorities, executives of the bank as well as researchers. This study will focus on
understanding the influences of some elements belonging to corporate governance to the Vietnamese banks’ performance
through quantitative models. The data used in the model is panel data of 26 commercial banks in Vietnam in the period
from 2008 to 2014, including 175 observers
