The sustainable development of Vietnamese Microfinance Institutions

Abstract

In recent years, the micro-finance sector has played an important role in the process of socio-economic development,
especially in poverty reduction. Besides the activities of credit institutions such as the Social Policy Bank, Cooperative
Bank, the People’s Credit Fund, Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development and other commercial banks..., there
are small-scale organizations that provide micro-finance quite effectively. This paper mainly discusses small-scale
organizations supplying micro-finance, thereby assesses issues raising in sustainable development of Vietnamese Microfinance Institutions
