Abstract

The study employs a documentary analysis approach, synthesising science and
technology policies, international publishing standards, and scholarly works related to leadership
research. The findings indicate that the increasing standardisation of research and publication
practices, the expansion of international academic databases, the growth of collaborative net
works, and the availability of advanced data analysis tools have created favourable conditions
for early-career researchers to engage with global academic standards. Nevertheless, significant
challenges remain, including the gap between international leadership theories and the Vietnamese
context, limited experience in scholarly publishing, the pressure to comply with academic integrity
requirements, and a relatively low level of scholarly initiative. On this basis, the article proposes se
veral directions for strengthening the research and publication capacity of early-career researchers
in leadership science.
