Design Screw Conveyer for Soil Potting Machine for Sugarcane Propagation

Abstract

The screw conveyer of the growing media potting machine plays the role of transporting the growing media from the ground up to two containers of the machine with the specified workload and dividing the media into 2 flows for filling each of the containers at the specified ratio. From the containers, the media is quantified based on volume and then are poured into plastic bags with a bag-holder device. To fulfill the above mentioned task, the selected conveyer was the screw conveyer. This paper presented the main results of designing, manufacturing and testing of the screw conveyer for growing media supply of the growing media potting machine for sugarcane propagation
