The Relationship between the State of Vietnam and the Roman Catholic Church at the Present

Abstract

In this paper, the author provides an overview of the history of the relationship between the State of Vietnam and the Roman Catholic Church. Despite many ups and downs since the late 1950, the two sides have been making important steps toward mutual dialogue and understanding, and setting up full diplomatic relations.
