Abstract

In Asian countries, especially in the ASEAN+3 region, raising capital through the issuance of corporate bonds has become a major capital mobilization channel in the correlation with the channel of borrowing capital from banks and the channel of raising equity capital through the stock market. However, the establishment process and development scale of the corporate bond market in each country are different. The article explores policies on developing corporate bond markets in a number of countries in Asia, from which, draws lessons to help Vietnam develop an open, stable, transparent and sustainable corporate bond market in the future.
