Tóm tắt
Zanthoxylum asiaticum (synonym: Toddalia asiatica), commonly known in Viet Nam as "cam núi," belongs to the family Rutaceae. It is found in India, Sri Lanka, China, Thailand, Philippine, and Viet Nam. In traditional medicine, it is used to treat ailments such as joint pain, toothache, sore throat, and stomachache. Modern pharmacological studies showed that this plant possesses a wide range of biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antioxidant, antibacterial, and cardioprotective effects, as well as anti-tumor properties. From this plant, 165 compounds including coumarins, alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids, phenolic acids, lignans, steroids, and fatty acids were also isolated. However, to date, there were no studies conducted on this specific plant species within Vietnam. Therefore, in our project to research this plant, we reported first here the isolation of five glycosyl compounds from the water extract of its including, one coumarin 1, one phenylpropanoid 2, two lignans 3 and 4, one flavonoid 5. Their chemical structures were determined using ESI-MS, 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic methods, and comparison of their NMR data with those reported in the literature. This was the first time that phenolic glycosides isolated from leaves of species Zanthoxylum asiaticum in Viet Nam were reported.
