Abstract
In the digital era, students reading behavior has shifted significantly from traditional print to digital platforms. This study surveyed 989 students at Hanoi Open University to explore the current situation, opportunities, and challenges in maintaining and promoting reading culture. Data were collected via an online questionnaire and analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The findings reveal that while students effectively utilize digital tools for learning, they also face distractions, reduced deep reading, and a lack of information filtering skills. The article proposes practical recommendations for students, instructors, libraries, and universities to encourage sustained reading habits and foster a learner-centered, technology-enhanced academic environment.
