Key considerations for modernizing S&T information and statistics infrastructure of Vietnam

Abstract

     Generalizes some view-points on modernizing S&T information and statistical infrastructure; presents some basic contents for modernizing the infrastructure of Vietnam S&T information and statistics, including creating and developing the National S&T database, modernizing domestic and international electronic and digital S&T information resources, establishing and  developing the National S&T Digital Library, developing S&T open-access information resources and Vietnam Journals Online, developing and effectively exploiting the National Research & Education Information Network and S&T information networks, attached to ministries, branches, localities; creating and developing S&T information and statistical  system, creating and developing the National S&T Data Centre.
