Pilot survey on innovation at manufacturing and processing firms in Vietnam

Abstract

    The article introduces the methodology in measuring innovation at firms based on the 2005 Oslo Manual of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development; the process of choosing innovation statistical indicators and solutions to apply this methodology in the pilot survey on innovation at 7.641 manufacturing and processing firms in Vietnam in the period 2014 - 2016; some analyses and evaluations based on the initial results of the pilot survey; some suggestions and recommendations on the continued application of the methodology in innovation statistical surveys at firms, the supplementation and completion of innovation statistical indicators, innovation surveys in Vietnam.
